Genpact is hiring early-career professionals for the Domain Trainee – Underwriting position. This role is ideal for recent graduates from any discipline who want to start a career in insurance and underwriting operations.

What you will do

• Support underwriting operations by processing policy transactions and updates.
• Coordinate with offshore/on-site teams to ensure smooth case handling.
• Handle tasks like risk clearance, policy issuance, endorsements, and renewals.
• Provide clear, timely responses to customer queries and service requests.
• Perform data updates, rewrites and pre/post-conversion activities as required.
• Manage workload to meet SLAs and quality targets.

Who should apply

• Graduates in any field (freshers welcome).
• Basic understanding of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance is preferred.
• Good communication skills in English (written & spoken).
• Attention to detail, time management, and a customer-first mindset.
• Familiarity with MS Office and willingness to learn domain tools.

Nice-to-have

• Certifications in insurance (AINS, CII, etc.) or prior exposure to underwriting work.
• Knowledge of US underwriting practices and endorsement types.
